the lady at reception and bar did both. she was genuinely helpful.
The parking situation was not great. This is true, but it is only for four hours. that is no good for an overnight stay

an adequate stay

handy locationavailable parkingdated roomdamp patch
the location was handy being close to the sea. parking was also available, which simplified things. the bar area was quite nice, and it had a cute atmosphere.
The room felt dated and needed updates. the bathroom ceiling had a damp patch. It didn't look good. it could benefit from better soundproofing since noise from above was noticeable.

the reception provided all necessary information upon arrival. i easily found free parking on the street in front of the building. the room featured tables, a bedside lamp, and separate lighting areas. plenty of towels and hanging space were available (which was really useful).
soundproofing was not optimal. i could hear conversations next door, which impacted sleep quality.

Convenient and Clean

I found convenient access to the car park to be helpful and the staff friendly. My room had essential accessories, which I appreciated. I liked that the bar had 24-hour access using my own key.
A chair in the room would have been useful.

The location was convenient. I could easily catch a bus to the city center. the room had tea and coffee making facilities. all the staff at reception were friendly and helpful.
the bed was uncomfortable, i struggled to sleep well. my room was located next to a kitchen prep room. this resulted in noise from early morning! also i paid for a private bathroom but it was across the landing and not in my room.

Unexpected Seaside Gem!

cooked meatsbalanced vegetablesrelaxing environmentworn balcony
I stopped by chance and got a mixed Sunday Roast. It had beef and pork! the meats were cooked SO well and the vegetables were balanced. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were top tier. i'm sharing the news because it deserves recognition. Views overlook the sea and lagoon. There may be trendier places. but this spot delivers quality and generous portions.
The balcony needed some tlc. The doors to the balcony were hard to open. plus. the area needed a jet wash to remove old cigarette ends.
Facilities

The hotel has a pub. It is spot on for an after work beer. This pub creates a friendly atmosphere that many patrons enjoy. It IS great for socialising with other guests.
Rooms

Our double room came equipped with a private bathroom. It had a balcony overlooking the lido. Guests can watch people doing water sports. The room was very comfy and tidy. It was great value.

The receptionist helped me with parking procedures. I learned about a quiz night and key returns. The evening meal was great with plenty of food. I felt welcomed by the staff. Hannah was really friendly.
